Adam G. McCollough et als. To Wm Gwynn, Recd. For Record  March 14th 1853 1 P.M.

"This Indenture , made the fourth of March in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and fifty three, between 
Adam McCollough, William McCullough, and Elizabeth McCullough, his wife, Nancy McCullough, and Sarah McCullough, 
John Cain and Hannah Cain, 
his wife, Christopher Cain, and Margaret Cain his wife, John Vanill* and Mary R. Vanill his wife, of the Co. of 
Owen, and State of Indiana, of the 
One part, and William Gwynn of the Co. and State aforesaid of the other part.  Witnesseth: That the above grantors, 
for and in consideration of 
the sum of one dollar, to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof they doth hereby acknowledge, hath granted, bargained, 
sold, conveyed and confirmed, 
and doth by these presents, grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm, unto the said William Gwynn, his heirs and 
assigns forever, a certain tract or 
parcel of land, in the co. and State aforesaid, now being in the actual possession of the above grantors, and being 
known and designated as follows; 
The South west quarter, of the North East quarter, also the East half of the South East quarter of the North West 

quarter, of Section seventeen, in 
Township no. eleven, north of Range three West, containing sixty acres more or less, together with all the rights, 
privileges and appurtenances 
thereunto belonging.  And, the reversions, remainders and profits thereof; and all the estate, title and interest 
of the above grantors, in law or 
equity, in and to the same.  To have and to, hold the lands hereby conveyed, with all the appurtenances, thereunto 
belonging, to the only 
proper use of him, William Gwynn his heirs and assigns forever.  In witness whereof, the above grantors hereunto 
set their hands and 
seals, the day and year.
… and we Elizabeth McCollough, Hannah Cain, Margaret Cain, 
and Mary R. Vanill do hereby relinquish the right of dower in said premises.

Personally appeared before me, the subscriber above named grantors, in the above conveyance, and acknowledged the same to be 
their voluntary act and deed.  And the said Elizabeth McCollough Hannah Cain, Margaret Cain, and Mary R. Vanill, being examined by 
me privately, separate and apart from, and without the hearing of their said husbands, and the full purport and contents of said 
deed, being by me first made known and explained to them, they declare, that they executed the same, of their own free will and 
accord, and without any coercion or compulsion from their said husbands.  Witness, my hand and seal, this fourth of March
