White
1. Edgar Cleveland White, born in in Owen County in 1892, son of David Paris White and Laura Alice Durbin. Edgar first married Edith Dunkin of Putnam County, later married Ruby Shaw of Parke Co.
2. The man on the right was Matt M. White, born 1877 in Morgan Co. IN. He was the son of Joseph White and Louisa Costin White. John was married to Rebecca Estella "Stella" Miller and later to Leanna Geary. He lived nearly all his life in the Martinsville area. The man on the left is one of his brothers but am unable to identify if it is George, William, David Paris or Matt. (Would appreciate any information anyone can give about this White family).

Williams
1. This portrait appeared on the cover of the Owen Co. Hist and Gen. quarterly, Vol. 3., no. 2, Spring 1994. It represents the artistry of the late Howard Pietzuch, photographer. His portrait of John W. Williams was accepted in 1947 at the Indiana Assoc. of Photographers Convention and in 1949 at the Photographer's Assoc. of Am. show in Chicago. John, who sat for the portrait, was born in Dec. 1862, the son of Josiah "Doc" and Susan A. (Bartholomew) Williams. John lived to be over ninety-nine and died in 1961 in the house where he was born, the house his father had built in 1860 before going off to the Civil War. That farm on Fish Creek is still in the Williams family today, owned by Josie, the widow of John's son, Benham E. Williams Date Taken: 1940s

Winters
Thomas or Ayers Winters, either of whom supposedly preached at the old Bethel church. The picture of Thomas or Ayers was falling apart and looks like it was hand colored around the turn of the century. If there are any historians out there that can tell when this picture may have been taken please email me
Thomas Winters was married to Susan Caton around 1880 and Ayers Winters was married to Lucinda Love around 1862.
There was another Thomas Winters b.1802 married to Elizabeth Arney in my family tree but this is not the same Thomas.
