Dixie states that in viewing the Surber Cemetery it is comparable to viewing a woods or forest. This is sad as it is a cemetery known to have many Revolutionary War veterans buried there. Although some few stones are visible still, they are among trees and most of the graves have sunk into the ground over time. Heavy machinery would be needed to put this cemetery back into shape and much perserverance needed to visit/search it.
