MILDRED FAYE BEAMAN DIED
Owen County Democrat, Spencer, Indiana, April 1, 1915, p. 5.
Mildred Faye Beaman was born in Owen County, Indiana, (Illegible) 9, 1904,
died March 26, 1915, aged eleven years and eight days. She leaves a father,
mother, five sisters and one brothers, Mrs. Pearl Minnick of Bicknell,
Indiana, Mrs. Bryon Gott of Coventry, Colo., Ruth Grace, (Illegible) and
Lelia May Beaman of Spencer; they were all at her bedside when death came
except Mrs. Gott.
Mildred was an obedient child with a sweet disposition. She was always
ready to attend Sunday school and had not missed but one Sunday in the last
year until sickness came. She worried and talked a great deal about her
school work during her sickness. She asked her mother only a few days
before her death if she would be able to go to school anymore and take her
last examination so that she could pass to the sixth grade.
Her sickness continued for five weeks during which time she was always
patient and never complained of anything. She leaves besides her immediate
relatives, a host of friends to mourn her going. Everything was done that
could be done for her in order to keep her here, but we must bow to the will
of He who doeth all things well.
The family desires to thank the friends who were so kind to them during
their trouble.
Rev. I. C. Overman conducted the service. She was buried in the Riverside
Cemetery Monday.
