These are the birth, marriage and death records as recorded by persons in the family of Ephraim and Lydia
(Secrest) Ratts. The data was actually obtained from the "old" family bible of Oat Ratts, but as many of these
dates were recorded when he was but an infant, I feel that perhaps it was originally the parent's bible and handed
down to him.
Ephraim Ratts was the son of Ephraim and Amanda (Warthen) Ratts from the Ashland township area of Morgan county.
Lydia was the daughter of Calvin
Secrest and Mary Kathryn Varner of the Herbemont area in Gregg township of Morgan county.
Both of these families migrated to Morgan county from the areas of Rowan and Davidson counties in North Carolina.
