Carriage & Buggy This page updated October 12, 2005
Carriages and Buggies differed from wagons as they were a bit finer in their construction. These conveyances were used for Sunday drives or special trips to town perhaps. The carriage or buggy makers were different then the wagon makers, they created a finer and more delicate work. In many cases, the painters of these crafts were talented artists in their own right.
