Real Fried Chicken

There are many ways to fix fried chicken, but this is the original and truly

the easiest to fix and best tasting.

Chicken Pieces (enough to serve)

All Purpose Flour

Salt and Pepper to taste

Oil for Cooking

 

Heat oil ( at least 1/4 inch) in heavy skillet and coat chicken pieces very well in flour. Place chicken in hot oil, leaving space between pieces. Cook chicken on each side until honey brown in color. Salt and Pepper if desired.

Cover with tight fitting lid and continue cooking till done, turning as needed and allowing about 15-20 minutes per side.

If crispy chicken is desired remove lid the last 10 minutes.
