KILLED IN ACTION
CLAUDE W. CROUCH, son of Mrs. ELIZABETH CROUCH, Gosport, Ind., 
was killed in action Oct 7.. He was a member of Company B, Three Hundred and Seventh 
Signal Corps Field Battalion. He enlisted in August 1917, received his 
training at Camp Gordon, Ga., and has been overseas in action for the last 
six months. He was employed by the Central Union Telephone Company in this 
city before enlisting. He is survived by his mother; his widow, MRS. CLAUDE 
CROUCH, Stinesville, Ind., and a brother, RALPH A. CROUCH, now serving with 
the United States Army in Panama.
