Delany DeWitton White born 1847 Clay Co Ind son of Granville White b 1820 Pulaski Co KY and Eveline Smith b 1826 Ohio. Eveline came from a family of Potters and Granville is listed in Clay County's Potters 1850-1852 harrison Twp. Delany was in the 115th Indiana Infantry Company G Mustred into service July 30, 1863 (pg 50 Adjutant general) residence Spencer County. Ordered to front sept 16 at Nicholasville Ky Then on to East Tenn. On Oct 10th delany age 16 was in the battle of Blue Springs. *NOTE: My Great Grandfather Jacob Fisher also age 16 was in the same battle on the same side! They saw action at Walke's Ford Dec 2, In Bulls Gap they were fortifying the place. They suffered greatly for want of food and clothing, endured serious hardships and exposures. During the winter they were kept on duty in the montains of east Tenn marching almost shoeless much of the time over rough stony roads. SP 3) Sarah Ollie Price b 1874 Clay Co? dau: Priscilla (Sadie) White b Dec 12, 1894 Sp August Fuchs dau: Maud Wite b Oct 17, 1896 Sp Jay H Fisher June 17, 1914 In 1894 Delany filed for pension. He state he had rheumatism, lung and stomach trouble frm the war. Living in Coal City he states he has 3 children under 16. This would be Harrietta, Joseph and Priscilla (Sadie) as Maud was not born yet. On Dec 9,1897 Delany died in Coal City.
