Putnam County, Indiana, Deed Record 67, Page 420. This Indenture Witnesseth, That Elza Thompson, a widower, of Boone County, Iowa, Harvey Thompson, unmarried, Louisa Lee and Campbell G. Lee, her husband, of Putnam County, Indiana, John Thompson and Martha Thompson her husband of McHenry County, North Dakota, Lulu B. Moore and Ernest L. Moore, her husband Charles J. Ferguson, widower of Vigo County, Indiana, Arthur Ferguson and Grace Ferguson, his wife, of Vermillion County, Indiana, Convey and Quit-Claim to Hulbert Ferguson of Vermillion County in the State of Indiana, for and in consideration of the sum of sixteen Hundred dollars ($1600.00), the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the following described real estate in Putnam County, in the State of Indiana, to wit: The East half (1/2) of the North-East quarter (1/4) of Section Thirty-one (31), Township thirteen (13) North, Range four (4) west; also the North-west quarter (1/4) of the North East quarter (1/4) of said section thirty-one (31), except so much thereof as his west of Leatherwood branch; also the North-east quarter (1/4) of the Southeast quarter (1/4) of said section thirty-one (31); also commencing at the South-east corner of the South-West quarter (1/4) of the North-East quarter (1/4) of said section thirty-one (31), running thence North

with the East line of said quarter quarter eighty (80) rods, thence West fourteen (14) rods, thence South to the South line of said quarter quarter to a point ten (10) rods west of the place of beginning. Thence East to the place of beginning. Said grantors, Elza Thompson, Harvey Thompson, Louisa Lee, John Thompson, Lulu B. Moore, Arthur Ferguson and the grantee, Hulburt Ferguson, and Charles J. Ferguson, are the sole and only heirs at law of Hugh Thompson and Sallie Thompson, now both deceased, and from whom they now hold said real estate as heirs at law.
