George Baldon Land Records

Land Patent papers indicate where George Baldon of 
Putnam Co.IN purchased land in Owen Co. 1 April 1848 
from the land office at Crawfordsville, IN.....80 acres, 
neighbors on one parcel of land were: Allen Asher, Joseph 
Asher, Thomas Asher, Geo., Buchanan Ezekiel, Thomas Jones, 
Wm.R.Mannan, Norton Greenleaf and James Truax{who was 
married to George's Aunt Mariah Boldon}....the other 
parcel's neighbors were:Peter N. Appergate, Allen Asher, 
Geo., Benjamin Beels, John Brown, Andrew J. Gray, George 
Monroe, Scott W. Young.

12N 2W is in Harrison Twp. Section 29 is in the northeast 
quadrant of the township. SESE would indicate probably 40 
acres in the se corner of the section and would be about 
a mile from the Morgan Co line on the east and a mile from 
Putman Co line on the north. Section 28 is the property on 
the east side of 29. This would be  beside 29 and between 
it and Morgan Co. Again probably 40 acres
