Hardware Merchants

These are men who described themselves as Hardware Merchants. I would assume this to be anything in the line of hardware, perhaps locks, hinges, machine parts, but not including lumber itself as the men seemed to make a distinction there. In all honesty though, it is difficult to determine just what these men may have categorized as "hardware". Again, the men listing themselves as just "merchants" without designation could also have been Hardware Merchants.
