BEULAH HEIDRICK

Owen Leader; November 25, 1976

Beulah Heidrick, 69, Spencer Route 2, died at Bloomington Hospital November 19. She was the mother of Delores and Loretta Heidrick of route 2 and Ronald Heidrick of Cloverdale, Route 3. Born in Archie, Illinois October 12, 1907, she was a daughter of Arthur and Henrietta Reed Taylor. Her husband, William died in August 1957. Other survivors are sister Della McDaniel of Siddell, Illinois; Juanita Reese of Danville, Illinois; three grandchildren and a great granddaughter also survives. Rev. W. J. Evans officiated at the service Monday at West and Parrish Funeral Home. Interment was in the Roselawn Cemetery, Terre Haute.

ELIJAH E. HEDRICK DIES; FUNERAL RITES SATURDAY

Funeral Services held Saturday Afternoon at Chambersville Church- Burial in Cemetery There.

Elijah E. Hedrick, 70 years old, one of the best known farmers, who lived just over the county line in Monroe county, died at his home last Thursday evening about 9 o'clock after suffering a long illness of heart trouble and hardening of the arteries. He had been seriously ill for the past three months and took to his bed several weeks ago. He was born February 28, 1874, a son of William Hedrick and Burnetta Ground Hedrick. For many years, Mr. Hedrick was a very sucessful farmer taking much interest in fine purebred milk cows. At one time he had one of the best dairy herds in this part of the state. The deceased and his wife, the former Miss Laura McHenry were active members of the Chambersville Christian Church and took a very active part in the life of the community where they had lived so many years. Many years ago, their home was saddened by the death of their two daughters. Rushie who married Bruce Mills, left a seven month old baby girl, Martha. The other daughter who died was Miss Blanche. The motherless granddaughter was reared in their home and was loved and cared for by her grandparents. Survivors include the widow; Mrs. Laura Hedrick; the granddaughter, now Mrs. James Prather, her husband and two little daughters, Alice Marie and Mary Elizabeth. Also a brother, Charles Hedrick of Monroe County. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Chambersville Church in charge of Rev. Ivan G. Gwaltney of Malott; and interment was made in the adjoining cemetery. West and Son of Spencer were in charge.

JAMES HEDRICK

Owen Democrat; Date Unknown

James Hedrick, brother of S.E. Hedrick of this place, died at his father's home five miles southeast of here Monday, aged 28 years. Funeral services were held at the house Tuesday and he was buried in the Chambers Cemetery by the Knights of the Pythias.

WM. HEIDRICK, 48, DIES OF HEART ATTACK

Owen Leader; August 15, 1957

William A. Heidrick, 48, suffered a heart attack that proved fatal at his country home Monday afternoon, Spencer route 2 on the Cuba-Carp road. The Volunteer Fire Co. received an emergency call for the First Aid Unit Resuscitator and it was rushed to the home where the doctor and firemen worked for a long time in trying to save his life. Mr. Heidrick did not respond to the oxygen being used. He was born October 23, 1908, a son of Roy and Gertrude Humbert Heidrick. About seven or eight years ago, he and his family moved to Owen County where they have continued to live. He did farming and was also employed at Allis-Chalmers plant in Terre Haute. Survivors include the wife, Beulah; two daughters, Misses Delores and Loretta at home; and one son Ronald of Lafayette. He also leaves one sister.
