Will of James Reed Transcribed by JoEllen (Reed) Ingram This will was filed and recorded January 6th 1845 In the name of God; amen I, James Reed of the county of Morgan in the State of Indiana being in perfect health of body and of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time there of and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs and thereby be the better prepared to leave this world when it shall please God to call me hence do therefore make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say. First I give and devise unto my two sons Elisha Reed and James Reed my plantation where on I now dwell known as being a part of the South West quarter of section Seventeen Township Eleven North of range one East containing One Hundred and three acres be the same more or less it being the residue of the afore said quarter section of land belonging to me after what I have here after conveyed to my other sons, to them the said Elisha Reed and James Reed and their heirs assigns forever in fee simple. And I do hereby revoke and annul all former wills by me hereto fore made ratifying and confessing this and none other to by my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I James Reed have to this my will let my hand and seal this Nineteenth day of July 1836.
