This is a continuation of other trials relating to the Languell Shooting HILL, DEMMING HERE TO FACE TRIAL Bloomington (Monroe County, Indiana) Evening World, February 6, 1935, p. 1. Submitted by Randi Richardson Frank Hill, negro, and Frank Demming, white, were brought from Spencer to the Monroe County jail Monday afternoon by Sheriff Walter Phillips, of Owen County. The two men, both of Bloomington, will stand trial for the murder of Charles Languell, Gosport farmer. They and Lon Hartfield, Sr., and Lon Hartfield, Jr., were indicted for the Languell murder. Young Hartfield was tried here. And found guilty of manslaughter. His father is to be tried March 18 (last digit difficult to read).
