William married Eliza Jane Easter on 6 Oct 1883 in Holt Co., MO. Eliza was born in Ray, Morgan Co., Indiana on 13 Jan 1854, and was the daughter of Joseph Easter and Nancy Rowland/Roland. Eliza died on 29 July 1917 in Rulo, Richardson, NE and is buried next to her husband in the Rulo City Cemetery.
Eliza allegedly had two children prior to her marriage to William: Peter (born ca 1879) and Josephine (born in 1880); both born in Bigelow, Holt, MO. It is not known if these are William's children or not. She is found on the 1880 Census of Bigelow, Holt Co., MO in the household of her mother and step-father, James and Nancy Rhodes. The census states that Eliza is blind.
