1880 census of Owen County at age 64, living next door to son, Samuel Noah Truax. She and her parents are listed as born in Ohio.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES/PARTICULARS
Arlitta married James Allison Truax on April 1, 1841 in Owen County, IN after the death of his first wife, Mariah Sarah Baldon on September 12, 1838. Both Arlitta and James are
buried in the Old Little Mount Cemetery. Many rumors exist that her surname was actually LeMasters and that she was raised by a Chambers; she shows no connections with any of the Owen county Chambers families.
Main objective is to find out who her parents were and exactly where she was born.
