DISTINGUISHING FEATURES/PARTICULARS
Stephen married Sarah Jane MULKY, daughter of James and Elizabeth WYMAN MULKY, on 20 May 1846 in Monroe County, IN. He died intestate and probate records show that the administrator was James MULKY, brother to Sarah. In the probate records, one note shows that Stephen made a promissory note to Rachel MC CORMICK, the wife of Samuel ( proven by census). Several quit claim deeds are on file in Owen County between Stephen and James MC CORMICK and John WEIR. James and John were related to John MC CORMICK.
KNOWN FAMILY MEMBERS
Stephen and Sarah had four children, Josephine married Joseph B. DEMARCUS, Mary Catherine married Webster FIREBAUGH (my great-grandparents), John Young married Laura B. MURPHY and Laura who married James N. LIGHT.
After the death of Stephen, Sarah married Jesse Mc Kendrick BURTON and had three more children, Elizabeth married Zachary LIGHT, Isadore married Robert Edward DYER and Emma married Nicholas Gary HICKAM.
