Most all of these county officers positions are self explanatory immediately.
The clerks I would assumed functioned in the area of paperwork and complaints.
The clerks at the court house were normally the ones filling out things such as marriage
licenses or court reports. The only exceptions to this listing is that the
Judges and Justices of the Peace are in their own section. The listings below are from the 1880 census records.
