Our Honored Veteran Ancestors
Had it not been for the men fighting in the Revolutionary War or the War of 1812; perhaps our current lifestyle would be different. Their foresight in creating the constitution and the groundwork for the government we use today has allowed us this lifestyle. Their determination to fight to create a new country of America, many of them newly immigrated here from their home countries, is what I feel the true spirit of independence is all about..or always has stood for. Julius Ceasar Glazebrook (1752-1841)
Revolutionary War
entered service on the 10th day of June 1780 from the County of Charlotte, State of VA. He served in the Company of Thomas Williams, was discharged five months later and re-entered the second time in July 1781 with Captain Andrew Wallace's Company.He migrated to KY and then on into Putnam County, IN. He died 1841 and is buried in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Putnam County
