MARY DELPHIA (ANDERSON) OWENS

Mary Owens Rites To Be In Mooresville. Funeral services for Mary D. Owens will be Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at the Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel in Mooresville. The Rev. Walter Griffith will officiate. Internment will be in Carolina Cemetery, near Jordan Village in Owen County. Calling hours will be today from 7 to 9 P.M. and Saturday from 2 to 9 P.M. Mrs. Owens died June 26 (1980) in Morgan County Memorial Hospital at Martinsville. She was born February 6, 1899 in Owen County the daughter of William and Loretta Mason Anderson. She was a member of the Baptist Church at Cunot and a member of the Moose. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frederick Lucas, and by her second husband, Arthur Owens. Survivors are her daughters, Virginia Pickard of Indianapolis, Barbara Skirvin of North Vernon, Beulah Somers of Martinsville, Violet Rose of Indianapolis, and Omadean Stevens of Indianapolis; sons William Lucas, Phillip Lucas, Franklin Lucas, all of Monrovia. Oran Lucas of Mooresville, Harold Lucas, both of Indianapolis, James Spears of Cincinnati, Lowell Sheese of Bowling Green, and Earl Lucas of Seattle, Washington; sister, Lottie Raybolt of Brazil; brother, Claybert Anderson of Lafayette; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. .
