Pioneer Cemetery

Location: Jennings Township Section 35

Owen County History states: The first burial place in Jennings Township was near the lower falls of the Eel River, where Issac Teel was laid away as early as the year 1821. Several other interments were made at the same place, but the grounds were later abandoned and no grave remains to mark the place. However upon inspection,evidence of graves were found, several were marked.
