The planing mill was a place that placed the finishing touches on lumber, such as make moulding or trim-- decorative pieces or more of a detailed work. This was NOT the same business as a saw or lumber mill. Below are listed both the owners and the workers. As with other occupations in this area, several persons cited their employment as either "millhand" or "mill worker". It is difficult to determine what type of mill they were referring to.
