PROBATE PETITION OF WILLIAM MUGG

To the Hon. John Dunn, sole Judge of the said Probate Court, now sitting
You petitioners James Wooden and Susan Hayward, the first administrator and the second administratrix of the estate of William Mugg, deceased, Humbly petitioning showest to your Honor, that on the 31st day of May 1839 they took out letters of administration on the estate of said William Mugg, and that monies and effects to the amount of about $164 have come into their hands to be administered and that as such administrator and administratrix they are entitled to credits to the amount of about $39.90; leaving a probable balance of about $124.10.
And that at the time said William Mugg, deceased, your petitioners are informed that the said William left as his heirs & legal representatives his widow, Susan Mugg who is now Susan Hayward, having since the decease of said William, intermarried with one John Hayward, Rebecca Mugg; his mother, John Mugg, Benjamin Mugg, Simeon Mugg, brothers of said William deceased, George Young and Elizabeth, his wife, late Elizabeth Mugg, Samuel Pittman and his wife Mary, late Mary Mugg, said Elizabeth and Mary being sisters to the said William deceased; that said Mary died previous to the decease of said William leaving as her legal representatives the following infant children, to wit; Elizabeth Pittman, John Pittman, Allen Pittman, Rebecca Pittman, Nancy Pittman, and Samuel Pittman--all of whom your petitioners pray may be made defendants herein. Your orators being desirous to make distribution of siad estate, they therefore pray your honor to cause said heirs and legal representatives to answer under oath as to their knowledge of any advancements made to them severally if any such have been made, and as to the amount thereof. And to decree the amount severally due to each & to grant your petitioners such other & further relief as to your honor shall seem proper in the premises & your petitioners & c.
