REBEKKAH RESOLUTIONS
Owen County Journal
September 11, 1918

Angelina Rebeckah Lodge 30, has been called upon to draft resolutions of respect on a
departed sister, Siota Hubbard. Realizing death the common foe of all must sooner or
later claim each and every one of us, knowing Sister Hubbard to be ready to meet it,
yet it is with deepest regret we perform this our last act in memmory of one whom we
loved as a sister and worker in our Noble Order and when health would permit, she was
always ready to do her part and often expressed the wish of some day she hoped to be
able to meet with us again for she loved the order whose foundation is in the simple
words Friendship, Love & Truth. Therefore, be it resolved that in the death of Sister
Hubbard, Our lodge has lost a good true member and we deeply sympathise with the husband
and two devoted daughters in their sorrow and we commend them to the Father above who
knoweth the best time to call his children home to the fold. And as a token of respect
we drape our charter this morning for a period of 30 days. A copy of these resolutions
be sent to the home of our Sister, a copy be sent to our home papers, also be entered
into the minutes of our lodge.
Resp. Submitted, Mrs. Harry G. Rice, Miss Tillie Reidy, and Mrs. Ora Clark committee.
