LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT- JUNE 24, 1876 RHODA THATCHER

I, Rhoda Thatcher, of Owen County Indiana being of sound mind and memory do make this my last will and testament, and as to my worldly estate, and all the property real or personal of which I shall die seized and possessed or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my death. I devise, bequeath and dispose there of in the manner following to wit: I give devise and bequeath to my beloved son, Isaac M. Thatcher, my two acres of land situated in Jefferson Township, Owen County Indiana. Also all of my interest in the following described lands in Owen County Indiana to wit: commencing at the N.E. corner of the S.W. quarter of section twenty four (24) in town nine (9) north of range five (5) west running thence south thirty (30) rods thence sixteen (16) rods west, thence north twenty (20) rods thence sixteen (16) rods to the place of beginning containing two acres more or less. her Rhoda X Thatcher mark pg. 2 Also the north half of S.W. quarter of section (24) in town nine(9) north of range (5) west containing eighty acres more or less. Also my household and kitchen furniture, my dwelling house, my pair of horses, wagon, and their harnesses, also my plows and harrows. To be delivered to him immediately after my decease by my executor hereafter named. To have and to hold the same to him and his executors administrators and assigns forever. I give devise and bequeath to my granddaughter Laura H. G. Adams one bed and bedding and one cow to have and to hold the same to her heirs and assigns from and after my decease. I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Hannah Jane Morrison and to my grandson William D. Thatcher each one dollar. his Rhoda X Mulvain mark

In testimony whereof I the said Rhoda Thatcher have to this my last will and testament contained on three sheets of paper and to every sheet there of subscribed my name and to this the lasts heet there of subscribed my name and affixed my seal. The above instrument consisting of three sheets was here subscribed by Rhoda Thatcher the testatrix in the presence of each of us and was at the same time declared by her to be last Will and testament and we at her request sign our names hereto,as attesting witnesses.
