The following entries are two pieces from the: Gosport Reporter of July 11 and 25, 1929 Submitted by Mike Dean The following names come from Gosport Reporter Newspaper dated July 25, 1929 "Listed according to records of 1840" James and John Blaine, Walker Cemetery, just east of present residence of Ed Terry, Mt Tabor-Ellettsville pike Edward Forbes, not found Edward Faulkner, not found Elijah Lacey, Mt Zion Cemetery near Hall, in Morgan County John List, not found Jacob Night, not found Shadrach Pearson, not found William Mannan, buried in Missiori Adam Modrell, near Surber school site, northwest of Gosport John Mc Cullough and Samuel Newell were living in Montgomery twnshp in 1840 age 85 and 86 respectively, burial place not found (Debbie's note: My personal feeling is that these two are buried in the Surber Cemetery. Many of their neighbors were buried there and it was the main cemetery in their neighborhood.) The Gosport Reporter Newspaper dated July 11, 1929 James Bryant, Spencer Peter Witham, Spencer Joshua Kelly abandoned cemetery 2 miles North of Spencer Ninian Steele 4 1/4 miles north of Spencer Andrew Evans and Otis Asher farm north of Gosport (Debbie's note: Andrew Evans IS buried in the Asher Cemetery at this location).
