Will of Stacy Reeves September 16, 1867. In the name of God Amen. I, Stacy R. Reeves of the county of Putnam and the state of Indiana, am well stricken in years and of feeble health though of sound mind, do make this my last will and testament. 1st I wish if practicable after my decease to be decently interred in my church yard by the remains of my deceased wife. 2nd I bequeath to my son, William A. Reeves the south half of the southwest quarter of section 34 township 15 north of range 4 west situated in the county of Putnam in the state of Indiana. For said land described in this bequeath the said William A. Reeves will pay to the executors of my estate the sum of $900 it being the _______ over and above his ______ in my estate. Said money to be paid in five annual payments after my decease. 3rd I give and bequeath to my son George W. Reeves the sum of $25 it being the remaining interest in my estate. 4th I give and bequeath to my son Samuel G. Reeves the sum of $5 it being his remaining share or ________ in my estate. 5th After the foregoing bequests have been paid and settled all my other money and personal property shall be equally divided between my lawful heirs herein named James N. Reeves, Mary A. Coffman, Elvira Landes (?), and the heirs of Elvira Jones, deceased. 6th I will that my son Samuel Reeves will be my executor and shall have power to collect and _______ all money belonging to my estate and settle with all persons having business in the _________. 7th I will that there will be no probate in the aforementioned estate.
