VEGETABLE RELISH
Another great relish from my husband's grandmother. e will make the 400 mile trip to her house for a jar of this. It is a delicious relish.

Wash vegetables. Use coarse blade on food chopper and grind
together.
5 cups green peppers 4 cups onions
4 cups cabbage 4 cups green tomatoes
2 1/2 cups sweet red peppers
Sprinkle 1/2 cup pickling salt over ingredients and let stand
overnight. Rinse well and drain.
Combine:
6 cups sugar 2 Tbls mustard seed
1 Tbls celery seed 1 1/2 tsp tumeric
4 cups cider vinegar 2 cups water
Pour over vegetables, bring to a boil and boil gently for 5
minutes. Fill hot jars and leave 1 1/2 inch headspace.Process
in boiling water bath for 5 minutes.Start time when it starts
boiling.
