Wallace Junction

Wallace Junction was once a busy little area from what I am given to understand. Located just to the northwest of the town of Quincy.

There was a train junction located there, henceforth the name.

Wallace Junction had a Restaurant and pool room also.

The Restaurant was well patronized back in the early days as the trains would stop and the crew eat eat at the restaurant.

Also in the 30's and 40's and maybe earlier the Restaurant had a skating rink in the upstairs.

People skated by the music of a merry-go-round calliope type music driven by a gasoline engine.

There remains little semblance of what was once a fairly visited area. Back in the early days, there were small areas such as this about every 6-7 miles in the township.
