We all have them....those persons, that normally we would never have connected with
, and others are members of the family that until we found the common ground of genealogy--contact
was usually reserved for family functions or reunions. But once that connection is made, it is so
difficult to imagine doing your research without them. Oh sure, you "could", but there would be so
much missing from it. Sometimes in the rush to find the data, you seldom take the time to let them know
just how very special they are to you and that they are NOT just another person drifting through your life.
These special people are there to encourage, question, make us question our theories, and listening to us
when we just go stark raving nuts from beating our head on the proverbial brick wall.
Although there are several persons that I am in regular contact with in my research...I think
there are only 3 that I am so connected with that it makes me wonder just how difficult it would be without them.
These are my Genealogy Partners, as opposed to my fellow researchers. I would like to take this opportunity to recognize
them and let them know just how I feel about their presence in my research and my life. Without these persons, my research
would be so much less and so much more lacking in many areas.
